Description: This layer is a heavily edited derivative of the AGIS City Parks layer, revised to prioritize visual and cartographic accuracy. Park boundaries have been redrawn where the original parcel-based digitization did not reflect actual ground conditions.Several facility types have been added that were absent from the source layer: private golf courses, the zoo, botanic gardens, and Tingley Beach. The dataset also incorporates all parks formally proposed as of April 2025; proposed parks that do not yet physically exist have been excluded.Features occasionally present in the AGIS source layer — including schools and public pools — have been removed and relocated to their appropriate layers.This layer is designed to render beneath the Facility Details layer, which provides supplementary cartographic detail including golf course fairways, public pools, and additional park features at larger zoom scales.
